FOOD DRIVE JOBS

Sorting Food - As food is delivered to the Samaritan Center it must be sorted.  There are several categories and each has its own box.  These are laid out on two long rows of tables.  This job requires between 70 – 100 people.  No heavy lifting is required.

Box Carriers – As each box is filled it must be lifted off of the table, weighed and then stored in the warehouse.  Teenage boys are great for this role and we usually need at least 10.

Traffic monitors – If a line forms in the parking lot of vehicles dropping food off, they must be redirected around the front to allow more room and keep the line from backing up onto McCarty Street
